Mason to retire, party in her honor set for Feb. 28

Elizabeth Mason, the longtime administrative assistant to Senior Vice President Eileen Coughlin, is retiring from Western Washington University.

An open house will be held in Mason's honor from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28, in Old Main Room 445 on the Western campus.

Mason has announced that she is sailing on to new adventures: retirement, a cruise through the Panama Canal and regular involvement in the lives of her children and grandchildren, all of whom reside in Bellingham.

Mason’s work through the years has been integral in providing day-to-day support to Coughlin, Western's vice president for Enrollment and Student Services.
