Linguistics to host UBC's Neda Todorović Feb. 10

University of British Columbia Assistant Professor in Syntax Neda Todorović will give a talk titled “Sequence of Tense in a language without Tense – the case of Gitksan” from 4-5 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 10, in Bond Hall 417.

The talk is free and open to the public and is sponsored by the Department of Linguistics.

Todorović’s primary research interests lie in the area of syntax, semantics and the syntax-semantics interface. Her work is primarily based on the interaction between syntax and semantics in the domain of Tense and Aspect in Slavic languages and languages of the Northern America. She is also actively involved in primary data collection in languages of British Columbia, Canada.
