KVIK to hold filmmaking scavenger hunt at WWU

In the span of 24 hours, teams of filmmakers will attempt to complete a set of scavenger hunt tasks, as well as film, produce and edit a film with a coherent plot in the Associated Students KVIK scavenger hunt.

The teams will have from 10 a.m. on Oct. 16 to 10 a.m. on Oct. 17 to complete their films. The hunt will take place all over campus and surrounding areas of Bellingham, but the final leg of the hunt will take place in the AIC building.

“This event is an opportunity for fellow filmmaking students to gain experience, meet friends with their same interests, and have a good kickoff to their year,” said Royce Andrews, KVIK coordinator.

The winner will be announced the evening of Oct. 17 after the teams have all had a chance to show their films.

The scavenger hunt is free to participate in but students will be responsible for their own equipment. KVIK will have limited amounts of equipment available to reserve.

Students interested in participating should attend the information meeting at 5 p.m. Oct. 6 in Viking Union 462A.
