Internship and volunteer fair coming Oct. 22

Students who are looking to gain work experience, build their resumes and develop their professional network can attend the Community Connections Internship Fair from noon to 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, in the Viking Union Multipurpose Room on campus. Attendees will be able to meet with more than 50 social services organizations, government agencies and non-profits to discuss full- and part-time internships.

To make the most of the internship fair, students are encouraged to:

  • Research the organizations in advance (a list is available at http://careers.wwu.edu/)
  • Prepare a resume and have it checked in the Career Services Center in Old Main Room 280
  • Review the workshop schedule at http://careers.wwu.edu/. Students  may want to sign up for any (or all) of these related workshops: Developing an Internship, Finding Nonprofit Jobs, Resume Writing, Interview Techniques, Cover Letters.
