Info session on Rwanda service-learning trip set for Friday

Western Washington University and the Center for Service-Learning are offering another service-learning study abroad course during summer session 2013. The class, “Building Bridges with Rwanda: Collaborative International Service-Learning,” includes pre- and post-trip preparation and reflection, as well as six weeks on the ground in rural Rwanda.

More information is available on the 2012 program website (updates and the 2013 program application will be added soon). A blog featuring photos and info from the 2012 trip also is online.

This week, Lama Mugabo, Rwandan community partner and founder of Building Bridges with Rwanda is visiting Bellingham and WWU. Students are invited to attend an information session about the program on Friday, October 5th at noon in Bond Hall 104. Students will have the unique opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the program from Lama’s perspective.
