Info session Jan. 27 to cover summer course in Berlin

A presentation highlighting Western Washington University's Global Learning Summer Course in Berlin will take place at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27, in Fine Arts Building Room 230.

The six-credit course itself, Contemporary Art and Culture in Berlin, Art 397E, will take place from July 26 to Aug. 10. The course is WWU financial aid eligible.

Berlin is Europe’s most exciting city for the arts. Students in teh course will join Western faculty artist Sebastian Mendes and visiting Berlin artist Werner Klotz for two weeks in Berlin. They'll have the opportunity to meet contemporary artists in their studios for workshops and
discussions and visit Berlin’s greatest museums, contemporary art galleries and site-specific artworks via bicycle. Students will have access to a large, centrally located studio for hands-on projects, presentations and discussions. They'll also have an opportunity (not a requirement) to exhibit their work in Berlin.
