Huxley environmental career fair slated for Feb. 11

The Environmental Career and Internship Fair from Huxley College of the Environment is slated for 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 11, after the Winter Career Fair.

Students from any major who are interested in exploring internships, summer jobs or careers that address the challenges of creating a sustainable society are invited to meet with representatives from 40-plus government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and industry at the event, which will take place in the Viking Union Multipurpose Room on the Western campus.

This annual event is co-sponsored by the Career Services Center and Huxley College of the Environment. Participants include Puget Sound Energy, NOAA, North Cascades Institute, Seattle Aquarium, Washington State Department of Ecology, Taylor Shellfish Farms and more! For a complete list of participating employers visit our website’s events page.

To make the best impression, students can attend the workshop “Preparing for the Huxley Internship/Job Fair” from 3 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 2, in Arntzen Hall 30. Students are encouraged to research the organizations in advance and bring resumes to the fair. Many organizations have posted their positions in Viking CareerLink and can be reviewed prior to the fair. For more information, visit the Career Services Center website or stop by Old Main 280.
