'Halloween on the Ridge' kids event set for Nov. 1

Western Washington University students will host the fifth annual “Halloween on the Ridge,” a safe and fun trick or treating event for children of the Bellingham community, from 2-5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 1 at the Ridgeway Complex on Western’s campus.

The event will start in the Ridgeway Complex Lounge. Bellingham community members and their children can trick or treat through the dormitory lounges for a candy-filled, safe, and age-appropriate experience.

Students who live in the Ridgeway Complex dormitories will decorate the main lounges of Beta, Delta, Highland, and Kappa with designated themes.

In past years, more than 300 community members participated in the event.

The event is free and open to community members and their children. Parking for the event is also free for all attendees.
