Global Gathering April 11 to focus on local seismic activity

Jackie Caplan-Auerbach, an associate professor of geology at Western Washington University, will lecture on the history of local seismic activity from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, April 11, in College Hall Room 131. This lecture, part of the Global Gatherings series at WWU, is free and open to the public.

In addition to the area's seismic history, Caplan-Auerbach will discuss the possible impacts of future earthquakes and tsunamis and how we can be prepared to be as safe as possible when the "big one" strikes.

This presentation is sponsored by the Center for International Studies at WWU.
