Gifts count double during Western's first-ever #WesternGiveDay June 1

Western Today staff

Tomorrow, June 1, alumni, parents, employees, students and friends are invited to participate in the first ever #WesternGiveDay 24-hour giving challenge.

Gifts on Wednesday will be matched dollar for dollar, up to the first $50,000 in gifts. Campus departments, programs, clubs and teams are encouraged to promote giving to their areas via social media and personal outreach. The match will follow the donor’s gift designation, doubling their gift.

WWU employees are encouraged to participate by making a gift. Together, we can help students secure the tools they need to succeed: scholarships, equipment and opportunities like internships, conferences and global experiences that help build their resume. Visit www.WesternGiveDay.com for more information or contact Angie Vandenhaak, director of development for annual giving, at 360-650-3274 or angie.vandenhaak@wwu.edu.
