Friday is Bike to Work and School Day

Bike to Work and School day is Friday, May 21.

More than 30 celebration stations will be located throughout the county, and those who bike or walk to them can enjoy refreshments, gifts, stickers and a chance to enter prize drawings for dozens of cash prizes. On campus, celebration stations will be located near the Student Recreation Center and off Red Square behind Bond Hall.

From 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, those with "I biked" stickers can get free entry to Boundary Bay for music, fun and prize drawings. Also, those who show their "I biked/I walked" stickers to the everybodyBIKE representative at Mallard Ice Cream can get a special prize. Bike to Mallard to get a $1 discount on your purchase.

It's not too late to team up in May and win prizes for bicycling or walking instead of driving for trips to shop, work, school or errands. More information about Team-Up for EverybodyBIKE is at https://www.whatcomsmarttrips.org/bike.
