Free lectures on Chilean aquaculture, U.S. global responsibilities on campus today

Bryan Rust, a student in the Huxley College of the Environment at WWU, will present “Chilean Aquaculture: Food for the Future” from noon to 1 p.m. today in College Hall Room 131 as part of the Center for International Studies lecture series. Rust’s lecture will compare the food production industry in Chile to others around the world with the goal of assessing future prospects for food production in this South American country.

At 3 p.m. in Biology Building Room 234, Richard Price, a professor of political science at the University of British Columbia who specializes in international relations, will give a lecture titled "Special Responsibilities: U.S. Dominance and Global Governance." This Gordon Sandison Memorial Lecture is sponosred by the Political Science Department and the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at WWU.

Both of these lectures are free and open to the public.
