Fraser Hall renovation to begin soon

Construction fencing has been installed around Fraser Hall in preparation for the renovation project that will continue for the next three quarters. The renovation is scheduled to be complete prior to fall quarter.

Within the next week, two to three construction trailers will be situated within the construction fencing. Black fabric will be installed on the fencing along with construction signs.

The first construction efforts won’t begin until about Jan. 14. This work involves selective interior demolition and abatement.

The Fraser Hall renovation project involves a major renovation of the 13,000 square foot lecture hall. Improvements include replacement of the mechanical and electrical systems, new fire sprinklers, an upgrade of the building exterior envelope, installation of an elevator, new restrooms, new fixed seating and casework, interior upgrades, installation of a new water line to the building and associated site improvements for ADA access.
