Fox NFL Sunday's Curt Menefee to speak to WWU students today

Curt Menefee is participating in a broadcast event sponsored by the WWU chapter of The National Society of Leadership and Success. The event will be at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 21, in Fraser Hall 102, and is free to all students, staff and faculty. The event will be streamed live and hosted by New York Institute of Technology in New York City. All viewers are invited to submit questions via Twitter and Facebook, which will be answered live during the broadcast. The campus community who miss the original date that is streamed live can attend a rebroadcast at the following dates and times: Tuesday, Feb. 28, at 6 p.m. in CF 210, or Wednesday, March 1, at 6 p.m. in AW 115.

Curt Menefee is the host of FOX NFL Sunday and the author of the book "Losing Isn’t Everything." Menefee’s book is a thought-provoking look at athletes whose legacies have been reduced to one defining moment of defeat and what their experiences can teach us about competition, life, and the human spirit. Menefee approaches both his life and his career from a truly global perspective, attributing career success to three steps: work hard, be passionate and enjoy life. Menefee will be sharing the hidden lessons behind the toughest losses in sports history, his observations on turning failure into success, and the importance of being resilient in the face of adversity.

This is the fifth installment of the 2016-2017 multi-speaker broadcast series sponsored by the Society.
