Four finalists named for EESP vice provost position; open forums to be held on campus

Western Washington University Provost Catherine Riordan has announced that the Vice Provost for Extended Education and Summer Programs Search Committee has concluded its review and evaluation of applications and has selected four strongly qualified finalists to invite to campus for interviews.

An open forum will be held for each candidate:

  • Dean Kempter, campus director and president of ITT Technical Institute in Everett, will be on the WWU campus May 25 and 26. An open forum presentation is scheduled for 4 p.m. Tuesday, May 25, in SL Room 130.
  • Pamela Gardner, previously the assistant vice president and dean of the School of Continuing Education at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah, will be on campus May 27 and 28. An open forum presentation is scheduled for 3 p.m. Thursday, May 27, in SL Room 120.
  • Robert J. Griggs, associate vice president for Extended Learning and Library Services at Bemidji State University in Bemidji, Minn., will be on campus June 1 and 2. An open forum presentation is scheduled for 4 p.m. Tuesday, June 1, in SL Room 130.
  • Michael Stockstill, a higher education consultant in Parkville, Mo., will be on campus June 3 and 4. An open forum presentation is scheduled for 4 p.m. Thursday, June 3, in SL Room 130.
