Foster Care: Let’s Talk About it

Student Outreach Services and the Passport to College Promise Scholarship Program is proud to present a panel discussion on general topics related to foster care. Foster care is a system that places minors that are unable to stay with their families into alternative housing, such as a group home or a home with state-certified foster parents.

Date: Tuesday, March 5th
Time: 4-5 PM
Location: Academic West 210

The Panelists:

Peggy is also responsible for managing Passion to Action, Washington State’s Foster Youth and Alumni Advisory Board, which consists of current and former foster youth who provide feedback and recommendations to DCYF on policies and practices. Peggy is a strong champion for youth voice and is a constant advocate on behalf of foster youth and alumni to be recognized, included, and respected as young professionals in the work that is being done.

Katherine Graff: Katherine is a social worker with 18 years of experience in child welfare. Katherine has worked for DCYF for the last 15 years serving youth through foster care, adoptions, and extended foster care.
