Faculty tech events today to look at geomapping and the confluence of math and art

Today in tech events:

The Learning Technology Group will have a session on Geomapping and Forms with Google Tools from noon to 1 p.m. in Haggard Hall Room 222. This space is located behind the Student Tech Center and several rows of books in SE corner of Haggard Hall overlooking Red Square. During the session, Peter Agras will demonstrate how to use and customize free Google tools to collect information via online forms, to automatically display data on maps, and to set up data to be shared with collaborators.

And the Faculty GUR Group will hold part two of Math and Art! from 4 to 5 p.m. in Miller Hall Room 156. In that meeting, Dina Buric and Teresa Downard will focus on the multitude of topics in the intersection of math and art; the main part of the session will consist of hands-on projects such as fractal cuts and origami.
