Faculty & Staff Convocation a hybrid event on Friday, Sept. 17

Faculty & Staff Convocation will be a hybrid event on Friday, Sept. 17 at 8:30 a.m.

Faculty & Staff Convocation will be a message from President Sabah Randhawa to kick off the academic year. While previous Faculty & Staff Convocations included awards and other recognition (now presented at the Celebration of Excellence Awards in June), this year's program will last under 30 minutes with President Randhawa’s address to the campus community. There will be no other programming or speakers.

2021 Viewing Options:

  • Live-stream/remote: This event will be live-streamed from the Faculty & Staff Convocation page on the morning of Friday, Sept. 17, and viewable afterwards for those of you who are not able to watch it live. An ASL interpreter and subtitles will be provided.
  • In-person: If you would like to listen to President Sabah’s remarks in person, you are welcome to come to the PAC Mainstage on Friday morning, Sept. 17. Doors will open at 8 a.m., masks are required regardless of vaccination status, and it will be self-seating/social distancing. An ASL interpreter will be on stage with the President, so viewable for in-person guests as well. No breakfast or refreshments will be provided this year as a safety precaution. Parking will be suspended during the event, but please keep in mind that this is a MOVE-IN day for students, so there will be extensive traffic and some parking lots will be heavily impacted. If you weren't already planning on being on campus, the live-stream may be the less stressful option.

Thank you for joining us however you are comfortable.
