Faculty and Staff Wellness Program the subject of Monday presentation

 

On Monday, April 15, Kaylee Nightingale will talk about Western Washington University's Faculty and Staff Wellness Program.

Nightingale is the administrator of the program. The presentation is part of the Western Sustainability “Lunch & Learn Conversations,” put on by the WWU Office of Sustainability and co-sponsored by the Teaching-Learning Academy.

The meeting will be at 1 p.m. Monday, April 15, in Wilson Library Room 265. All members of the Western community and the public are welcome.

Nightingale was born and raised in Bellingham and completed her undergraduate degree at Washington State University in 2007. She majored in kinesiology and minored in psychology while competing on the varsity track and field team for four years for the Cougars. She has completed her graduate school course work at Western Washington University toward her master’s degree in human movement and performance. Nightingale now leads the award-winning WWU Faculty and Staff Wellness Program. She believes that fitness has great physical and psychological benefits and that there is something out there for everyone. She takes a behavioral approach to the consultations and aims to help everyone maximize his or her own potential.
