Expert on ePortfolios to work with faculty and staff May 2

An expert on electronic portfolios is coming to the Western Washington University campus May 2 to help faculty and staff learn to use ePortfolios for assessing students' learning and assessing curriculum.

David Goldstein, who directs the Teaching & Learning Center at UW Bothell, will hold a couple workshops sponsored by the WWU Writing Instruction Support Program and the Teaching-Learning Academy, in partnership with the Center for Instructional Innovation and Assessment and the vice provost for Undergraduate Education.

Goldberg has had extensive experience using ePortfolios from an instructional and administrative perspective.

Faculty and staff may attend one or more of these interactive sessions as well as a complimentary social/working lunch.

Space is limited, and reservations are required.

The events will take place Friday, May 2, in the Learning Commons (Wilson Library 2 West):

  • 11-12: Using ePortfolios for Assessing Individual Students' Learning
  • Noon-1: Social/Working Luncheon
  • 1-2: Using ePortfolios for Program/Curriculum Assessment
