Ethics in Science discussions series to run through May

Western students Rachel Blazevic, Galen Herz, and Serena Wo have assembled a three-part ethics in science seminar series on April 27, May 4, and May 11 from 5:30-7 p.m. The campus community is invited to come join the conversation about ethics in science in SL120.

Each series will have a 40 min lecture, Q&A session, followed by an optional small  group discussion about the topic lectured. There will be refreshments!

Topics include:

"Why research ethics is relevant to you as a scientist." - Janai Symons 

"The use of animals in research and the test release of gene drive organisms into the environment." - Wayne Landis 

"Is human data public or private?" - Sean Bruna, and Anna Groat Carmona,
