Elluminate available as Web conferencing tool for WWU faculty and staff

Western Washington University's Academic Technology and User Services has announced the availability of Elluminate as Western's new Web conferencing tool. Elluminate allows users to conduct live meetings over the Web in which participants can communicate using voice, text and application sharing.

ATUS' John Farquhar, manager of Instructional Development, made the announcement in an e-mail to WWU faculty and staff Thursday morning.

While faculty have access to this tool from within Blackboard, staff can request use of the tool for other university business, Farquhar said. To host an Elluminate meeting, staff should request an account and session for Elluminate using the eSign form.

Information about Elluminate, instructions for setting it up in Blackboard as well as links to the eSign form and links to training are available at Western's Elluminate Web site at http://www.wwu.edu/elluminate.
