EDGE High Course at Lakewood to reopen in late November

The Associated Students' EDGE High Course will reopen in late November after being closed for three months for renovations.

The course, located at the off-campus Lakewood facility, has been revamped. The $16,000 spent on the project added a trapeze jump, giant swing and vertical playpen.

Many of the old high-course activities had been up for more than 20 years and needed to be replaced, said Fred Collins, EDGE coordinator.

Western students, faculty and staff can use the facility for $15 per hour per facilitator and $5 per person. Members of the community pay the facilitator fee and $10 a head.

Collins said the high course is great for groups that want to build trust, synergy and do team-building exercises. There is no minimum group requirement, though the largest group that can be served by one facilitator is 12 members.

Reservations can be made on the EDGE website.
