'Drunktown's Finest' kicks off Reel World Film Series Oct. 7

The Reel World Film Series kicks off fall quarter with "Drunktown's Finest" at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7, in Viking Union Room 552. In the film, director Sydney Freeland (Navajo) looks beyond stereotypes of Native American communities in her compelling debut, which premiered at Sundance in 2014.

The monthly film series from the Center for International Studies is free and open to the public. Faculty and student organizations are encouraged to suggest films that can supplement a course, an event or a discussion that raises awareness about other cultures, about global issues or about viewing the world from different perspectives.
