Donovan to give post-election overview at noon today

Todd Donovan, a professor of political science at Western Washington University, will provide a post-election overview at noon Wednesday, Nov. 7, in the Fairhaven College Auditorium.

In his talk, titled "The 2012 US Election: A Domestic and Global Perspective, Donovan will discuss what was "normal" about the 2012 U.S. election compared to previous presidential elections. He'll also assess how 2012 was unlike other U.S. elections.

The discussion will also consider how Barack Obama and Mitt Romney are perceived overseas and how Americans' attitudes about their elections compare to attitudes held by citizens in other democratic nations.

This World Issues Forum presentation, sponsored by Fairhaven College of Interdisciplinary Studies, is free and open to the public.
