Do nations matter in a global age? WWU's Johann Neem to discuss March 1

Johann Neem, an associate professor in the Department of History at Western Washington University, will present “Do Nations Still Matter in a Global Age?” at noon on Tuesday, March 1, in College Hall Room 131 on campus.

The presentation is part of the international lecture series from the Center for International Studies.

In his presentation, Neem plans to address globalization and the importance of nations and national identities. Do they still matter? Neem will offer a rationale for the importance of national identity and patriotism in a global era while exploring how we might think of the nation today.
