Diverse Learning Environments Survey Seeks Student Participation, Input

As announced by President Randhawa and AS President Stephanie Cheng (see below), undergraduate Western students are being encouraged to participate in the Diverse Learning Environments Survey. All students received an email invitation to participate in the survey from the Higher Education Research Institute (HERI) on April 21, and will receive another email from HERI on May 3 with a link to complete the survey.

Dear Western Students,

This Friday, you will receive an email from the Higher Education Research Institute (HERI) with a link to complete a confidential campus climate survey.  We strongly encourage you to do so.

This survey, called the Diverse Learning Environments Survey, provides an important opportunity for Western students to share their thoughts about the climate on campus, experiences in the classroom, and interactions with faculty, staff and other students. Information students share via the survey will be used by Western to make informed decisions about how best to support our student body. Your insights are valued.

Students who complete the survey can enter a raffle to win Amazon gift cards.

Responses to the survey will be kept confidentially by HERI, and data will be reported in the aggregate. The survey takes about 40-45 minutes to complete, and you do not have to complete it all at once.

Thank you in advance for taking the time to participate in Diverse Learning Environments Survey. Look for a link to the survey in your Western email on Friday.

Sincerely,

SabahRandhawa
