Dive into the Salish Sea this summer with a new online GUR, SALI 201

Interested in exploring topics about the Salish Sea, need to complete a GUR, or possibly looking into the university's brand new Salish Sea Studies minor?

WWU students are invited to enroll and/or circulate info about the first offering of SALI 201: Introduction to the Salish Sea, taught online this summer by Huxley's Marco Hatch, from June 25 through Aug. 2 (CRN 31176).

This is the core course in the new Salish Sea Studies minor and won’t be offered again until Spring 2020.

Interested in the minor? There are two info sessions coming up, both located in the Canada House (in between the PAC and High Street Hall) conference room:

  • Wednesday, June 5, at 9 a.m.
  • Thursday, June 13, at 10 a.m.

Cookies and coffee will be served at both, and all faculty, students, and staff are welcome to attend. SALI faculty and staff will give brief overviews of the minor, have minor declaration cards available for students to complete, and will offer on-site advising and a list of SALI Minor classes for next year.
