Discussion on preparing students for engagement set for Nov. 13

A Community Engagement Forum to discuss preparing students for engagement is planned for 4:15 to 5:15 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13, from 4:15 to 5:15 p.m. in the WWU City Center in the Herald Building at 1155 State St. in Bellingham.

Cathy Jo Fisher of Shuksan Middle School and Molly Ware, professor of Secondary Education and president of the Faculty Senate at Western Washington University, will launch the discussion by sharing their insights about preparing students for community engagement.

The remaining time will be spent in open-ended dialogue in which others can share insights and ask questions.

The WWU Alumni Association and Center for Service-Learning will provide snacks and refreshments. The event is free and open to the public.

This Forum is part of Community Engagement Fellows, a faculty development program hosted by the WWU Center for Service-Learning. Learn more about the program at www.cefellows.org.
