Disability Studies and Action Collaborative's 'UnConference' set for Saturday

This coming Saturday, Oct 19, will be the inaugural Disability Studies and Action Collaborative (DSAC) UnConference.

The UnConference is part traditional academic conference and part collaborative, exploratory workshop. It brings together college students, disability studies scholars, activists, advocates, nonprofit workers, and other people actively engaged in disability-related work in Bellingham and the surrounding region. The aim is to gather in one place, learn from one another’s skills and experiences, and identify avenues where we can productively collaborate across the borders of academia and the community.

While the workshops are full, the seminars are free and open to the public. They will be in Carver 103 and 104 from 10:30-11:45; 2-3:15; and 3:30-4:15.
