CST dean finalists to visit campus

Four strongly qualified candidates for the position of dean of the College of Sciences and Technology at Western Washington University have been invited to campus for interviews beginning May 1.

Information about the finalists is listed below, along with the schedule for the forums open to the campus community. The finalists’ curriculum vitae are available for review; to see them contact Bev Jones in the Provost’s Office.

  • May 1 and 2: Brad Johnson, chair of the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Western Washington University. A university-wide open forum presentation is scheduled for 4 p.m. Thursday, May 1, in SL 140.
  • May 7 and 8: Catherine Clark, associate dean of the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences at Schmid College of Science and Technology at Chapman University in Orange, Calif. A university-wide open forum presentation is scheduled for 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, in SL 140.
  • May 19 and 20: Stefi Baum, director, school head and professor at the Chester F. Carlson Center for Imaging Science at Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, N.Y. A university-wide open forum presentation is scheduled for 4 p.m. Monday, May 19, in SL 140.
  • May 21 and 22: Janet Callahan, associate dean of the College of Engineering at Boise State University in Boise, Idaho. A university-wide open forum presentation is scheduled for 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, in SL 140.
