COVID-related resource assistance available for students in need

Western recognizes the impact the COVID-19 pandemic is having on our students. In this time of uncertainty, we are working to provide those in need with resources in the local community and on campus.  Several offices from across campus are partnering to provide available resources for students to access especially in this time of need. To that end, a web page with some broad resources and a brief needs intake form is now live and here: https://wp.wwu.edu/officeofstudentlife/covid-19-student-assistance/

After a student submits the intake form, a staff member will contact them with personalized assistance. Examples of assistance might be a grocery gift card, swipes for meals in a dining commons, assistance with emergency housing, and/or laundry cards.

Please feel free to refer students to this website. If you have resources to offer and are looking for ways to use state resources appropriately, please contact Michael Sledge, Associate Dean of Students at msledge@wwu.edu
