Construction restricts traffic near WWU campus

Access to the 14G parking lot at Western Washington University will be impacted for the next few days, leaving only the exit driveway off of Highland Drive accessible to traffic. Stremler Construction will have a flagger located at the exit to manage traffic coming in and out of the lot during this time.

Stremler will continue paving Wednesday, as rain has impacted the schedule. During this time, Highland Drive will be down to one lane, causing delays.

The remaining paving on West College Way also will occur on Wednesday. As this is the first day of classes at WWU, construction crews will ensure that adequate traffic control staff is on-hand to minimize disturbances.

This is a City of Bellingham project. Questions regarding the project can be referred to Craig Muller at 360-778-7922. For parking options, contact WWU Parking Services at 360-650-2945.
