Conference on Russian, East European and Central Asian studies to happen at WWU April 17

The Sixteenth Annual Russian, East European and Central Asian Studies Northwest Conference will take place on the campus of Western Washington University on Saturday, April 17.

The conference is organized by the WWU Center for East Asian Studies and by the Herbert J. Ellison Center for Russian, East European and Central Asian Studies at the University of Washington. The conference theme is "Time and Transition: Reflecting on the Past 20 Years in Russia, East Europe and Central Asia."

Admission to the conference is free, and the general public is welcome to attend. No registration is required except for those who would like to order a box lunch. Lunches are $12, payable on the morning of the conference, and advance registration must be received by April 14.

The conference will take place from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. in rooms 120 and 130 of the Science, Mathematics and Technology Education Building on the WWU campus.
