Center for Service-Learning seeks campus partners for winter quarter

Western’s Center for Service-Learning coordinates service projects throughout the year for courses in all seven colleges, from technical writing to business management to communication.

Next quarter, the CSL is working with ETEC 344: Industrial Quality Assurance, a course in which students analyze and quantify a process within an office or agency and then provide recommendations for improvement. Students can analyze a variety of activities such as registration processes (how can we streamline this process? reduce paper? minimize confusion?), event attendance (how do we best reach our intended audience for this program?) or standard procedures (what can we do to minimize staff time/resources to accomplish this task?).

The center is looking for campus offices interested in getting a third-party perspective on the effectiveness of their procedures.

Please contact April McMurry at 360-650-7520 or Alex Allyne at 360-650-7518 at the Center for Service-Learning by Friday, Dec. 7, to discuss a potential project idea.
