Candidates for dean of Woodring College to visit campus this month

The search committee looking for a new dean of Woodring College of Education has concluded its review and evaluation of applications and has selected three strongly qualified finalists to invite to the Western Washington University campus for interviews. Information about the finalists is listed below, along with the schedule for the forums open to the campus community.

  • Pamela (Sissi) Carroll, associate dean for Academic Affairs and Dwight L. Burton Professor of English Education in the College of Education at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Fla., will visit campus April 19 and 20. A university-wide open forum presentation is scheduled for 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, in SMATE Room 110.
  • Mary L. Snyder, dean of the College of Education at the University of Alaska, Anchorage, will visit campus on April 25 and 26. A university-wide open forum presentation is scheduled for 4 p.m. Monday, April 25, in SMATE Room 110.
  • Francisco A. Rios, professor of Educational Studies in the College of Education and director of the Social Justice Research Center at the University of Wyoming in Laramie, Wy., will visit campus on April 28 and 29. A university-wide open forum presentation is scheduled for 4 p.m. Thursday, April 28, in SMATE Room 110.
