Candidates for athletic director to visit campus for open forums

Western Washington University is conducting a national search to replace Lynda Goodrich as director of intercollegiate athletics.

Renowned search firm Alden & Associates has provided the leadership in recruiting and attracting highly qualified candidates for this position. Four finalists will be visiting Western and Bellingham the last week in February and the first two weeks in March. As part of the interview process, the university is holding open forums for faculty, staff, students and the greater Bellingham community to meet the top candidates.

The open forum schedule is as follows:

  • 4 to 5 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24, VU 464 - Shawn Farrell
  • 4 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, VU 464 - Jean Berger
  • 4 to 5 p.m. Monday, March 3, VU 464 - Donald Reed
  • 4 to 5 p.m. Monday, March 10, VU 552 460 - Steve Card

Everyone in the WWU and Bellingham communities are invited to join in for this important process to meet the candidates and provide feedback to the Athletic Director Search Committee.
