Campus Rec to hold Poker Walk event June 2

Campus Recreation Services is once again holding a free “Poker Walk” event for faculty and staff at Western Washington University.

The event, slated for Thursday, June 2, asks participants to walk a course around campus, collecting poker chips from various locations and then finishing up at the Wade King Student Recreation Center, where they turn in their chips and are dealt a poker hand.

Prizes are awarded for the best hands for individuals and teams. The Student Business Office grabbed top honors in 2015.

"It’s a fun group activity and a great way for staff to get out of the office and get a little bit of exercise," said Campus Recreation's Kip Leonetti.

Complete rules and a registration form are online. The registration deadline is Tuesday, May 31.
