Bookstore move to be complete by Feb. 20

As announced previously, the initial phase of the Multicultural Center Project involves the temporarily relocation of the AS Bookstore to the Viking Union Multipurpose Room (MPR).

Security systems and equipment (shelving, cash registers, counters, etc.) are being set up in the MPR. Merchandise from the sixth and seventh floors of the Bookstore (sportswear, emblematic merchandise, sundries and other merchandise) is scheduled to be moved to the MPR by Feb. 12. Textbooks are expected to be transported after Feb. 15.

There may be a period where both locations will be in operation. The final transition is scheduled to be complete by Feb. 20 with the Bookstore in full operation in the MPR. Please enter the relocated Bookstore off the double doors on High Street. If you have questions, please contact Peg Godwin, AS Bookstore Manager, at (360) 650-3745.

The permanent location for Vendor’s Row on the east side of the MPR is also under construction. Vendors will reopen in this new location after all permits are approved. To alleviate congestion in this during construction area, the bus stop (for southbound riders) will be temporarily relocated further south by the Performing Arts Center on Feb. 22.

Please plan accordingly for all these changes as campus continues to expand and improve.
