Beware of phone toner scams

A recent uptick in unwanted toner phone sales calls has prompted a reminder. Periodically, copier toner sales people will cold call campus numbers, hoping to catch someone off guard. The caller will talk the campus recipient of the phone call into accepting toner deliveries that are unneeded and unwanted at very high prices.

Please remember:

• All supplies for the Ricoh machines on campus are provided by Copier Support, 360-650-7969, WL 562.
• Departments never need to buy any supplies for the Ricoh machines.
• Ricoh employees will never call anyone on campus directly. If the person represents themselves as a Ricoh representative tell them to call 360-650-3545, Kathy Tadlock, or hang up – no requirement for politeness in this situation.
