BCOM? But you don't speak English in class

Seán Dwyer of Modern and Classical Languages at Western Washington University will provide a sneak peek into how he teaches his “elementary Spanish” GUR course and gets students accustomed to college-level expectations from 4 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, in Miller Hall Room 131.

The self-discipline required to learn a language, especially in an accelerated course like Spanish 104, can create study habits that will benefit students in all of their courses. Dwyer will discuss how he instills good habits in students and how learning to communicate in Spanish can make their English more of a pleasure to read.

This presentation is part of the Faculty GUR Group series at WWU.
