'Art Drop' returns to the Fine Arts building March 12

On March 12 at 1 p.m., there will be an unveiling of two brand new Art Drop-mini prize machines on campus featuring small artworks made by the WWU student body. The project is being carried out by Garth Amundson’s ART 495 Professional Practices class in an effort to strengthen the student art community through building a larger presence on campus.

The artworks will be contained in 2” prize capsules which can be purchased for $1 apiece. One will be located on the second floor of the Fine Arts building, and the other will be located on the first floor near the main office.

In addition to raising awareness of student art, the Art Drop-mini project will encourage student artists to learn how to produce work that is both portable and commercially viable.
