Aramark to honor unused Munch Money after Sept. 1 transition

Western Washington University and Aramark have signed a contract making Aramark Higher Education the new vendor for campus dining services at the university, replacing Sodexo.

The 10-year contract begins Sept. 1 and continues until Aug. 31, 2021. Aramark will provide dining services at Western’s residential dining halls, catering and retail cafes and markets.

A few items of note related to the transition:

  • Catering: Aramark is now accepting catering orders for events being held on or after Sept. 1. During this transition, those with catering needs should contact Stephen Wadsworth at (360) 650-4114. Wadsworth and his team members are available to answer questions, assist with menu selections and secure orders.
  • Munch Money: Beginning Sept. 1, Munch Money and Dining Dollars will be combined into one program simply called Dining Dollars. Aramark will honor any unused Munch Money. To purchases Dining Dollars, visit Edens Hall Room 108 after Sept. 1.
  • Locations and hours: Zoe’s Bookside Bagels will be open from Sept. 1 to 15 at its normal summer hours, which are 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. All dining locations will be open for business beginning Sept. 18, but breakfast and lunch will not be served in the three dining commons that day only.
