Anderson Cooper's keynote talk to student affairs administrators to be livestreamed March 12

There will be 550 campuses tuned in through live streaming when Anderson Cooper gives his keynote speech at the annual NASPA (Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education) conference in San Antonio, Texas.  And he knows that he will be talking directly to a broadcast audience of college student leaders at those campuses, including the students at Western. The broadcast event is produced in partnership with The National Society of Leadership and Success and NASPA. The WWU live feed will be on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at 4 p.m. in Arntzen Hall 100, and is free to all students, staff and faculty.

All viewers are invited to submit questions via Twitter and Facebook, which may be answered live during the broadcast. The National Society of Leadership and Success-WWU chapter is honored to host this event.  Campus partners include Associated Students, LEADS program, and the Karen W. Morse Institute for Leadership.

Cooper is an acclaimed author, award-winning journalist and current anchor of CNN's "Anderson Cooper 360°."  Since the start of his career in 1992, Cooper has worked in more than 40 countries, moderated several presidential debates and covered nearly all major news events around the world.  Cooper helped lead CNN's Peabody Award-winning coverage of Hurricane Katrina and DuPont Award-winning coverage of the 2004 tsunami. Additionally, he has been awarded nine Emmy Awards, including two for his coverage of the earthquake in Haiti, and an Edward R. Murrow award.
