Alternative-fuel vehicles to be tested on campus Jan. 12 to 19

As part of ongoing efforts to identify feasible ways of reducing the carbon footprint and fuel use on Western Washington University's campus using alternative-fuel vehicles, Facilities Management will play host to representatives from AFV manufacturers who will bring demo vehicles to Western the week of Jan. 12.

At least one vehicle will be available throughout the week for Facilities Management crews and others interested in evaluating suitability for various operational tasks. The demo vehicles will be singular examples of a wide range of configurations available. Performance data and user feedback will be collected during the week and used to assist in the evaluation of vehicles and identify opportunities for utilization throughout Facilities Management operations.
