After 5 p.m., drip coffee is just 50 cents on campus

University Dining Services is again showing its appreciation and support for hard-working Western Washington University students, faculty and staff with the Red Eye Special, which returns to on-campus markets and cafes today, Nov. 29.

After 5 p.m. during dead deek and finals week, participating locations that brew Starbucks Coffee or Tony's Coffee will serve 12-ounce drip coffee or tea for just 50 cents. The Red Eye Special can be found at The Atrium, Miller Market, VU Market, VU Cafe, Zoe's Bookside Bagels, Rock's Edge Cafe, The Haven and The Underground Coffeehouse. The idea is to give customers a chance to refuel for those inevitable long days and late nights that accompany the last two weeks of the quarter.

In addition to the coffee deal, certain locations will be open extended hours. The Atrium (in Arntzen Hall) will be open until midnight Wednesday and Thursday of dead week, and again Sunday to Tuesday of finals week. With comfortable seating and a relaxing atmosphere, The Atrium is an ideal place to crack the books, meet with a group or grab a snack. Zoe's Bookside Bagels will have special hours on Saturday and Sunday of Dead Week, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. The Viking Union Cafe will be open until 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday and Saturday of dead week as well as Sunday through Tuesday of finals week.
