Accounting's Zite Hutton wins service award from ATA

Western Washington University Professor of Accounting Zite Hutton was recently honored with the Outstanding Service Award by The American Taxation Association (ATA) at the organization's annual meeting in New York City this summer.

Below is the award information from the event:

This year’s award winner is more than deserving. Our winner has provided over 40 service assignments over the last 25 years, and is an outstanding teacher, twice a winner of the ATA/Deloitte Teaching Innovation Award. She has served on the Midyear Program committees six times, three years on the Publications Committee and several years on Tax Policy subcommittees. However, all these assignments have paled in comparison where she has really shined—technology. Our winner has served in 24 technology related assignments. Our winner has served as the ATA webmaster twice, at times when the position required not only editorial skills, but programming skills. Our winner is a native of New Orleans, received her PhD from the University of Houston, and her Bachelors and Masters degrees from the University of Texas at Arlington. She has been a faculty member at Western Washington University since 1989.
