WWU Asia University America Program to put on a Japan Night on campus May 6

The Asia University America Program at Western Washington University is putting on a Japan Night from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, May 6, in the Viking Union Multipurpose Room.

WWU's AUAP students have prepared a wide variety of cultural displays that they are eager to share with the Western and Bellingham communities. Attendees can participate in an interactive Japanese fashion display, learn a Japanese traditional dance, make origami, write their names using Japanese calligraphy or try their hands at Japanese card games.

Students also have prepared a menu of three classic Japanese dishes that will be available for sampling; an assortment of rice crackers and fine Japanese green tea will complement the meal.
