Students to make master's thesis public presentations

A handful of students have scheduled their public presentations for their master's theses; these presentations are free and open to the public. More presentations will be announced as they are scheduled.

  • At 1 p.m. Monday, May 3, in Biology Building Room 355, Emily W. Grason, a graduate student in the WWU Biology Department, will present "Alien vs Predator: Effects of a native predator on two invasive oyster drills and oysters in Washington state."
  • At 2 p.m. May 4 in Environmental Studies Room 80, Emily Cavaliere will present "Elwha River Sediments: Phosphorus Dynamics under Diverse Environmental Conditions." Chair: Peter Homann (Environmental Science).
  • At noon May 7 in Science, Mathematics and Technology Education Room 130, Logan Berner will present "Evaluation of High-Latitude Boreal Forest Growth Using Satellite-Derived Vegetation Indices." Chair: Andy Bunn (Environmental Science).
  • At 1:30 p.m. May 14 in Arntzen Hall Room 319, Andrew Holcom will present "Misrepresentation as Complicity: The Genocide against Indigenous Americans in High School History Textbooks." Chair: Kathleen Young (Anthropology).
