Library space planning expert to lead presentation, discussion today

An expert on library space planning will lead a presentation and discussion today in the hopes of learning what the Western Washington University community wants in terms of space usage in the Western Libraries.

Scott Bennett, a Yale University Librarian Emeritus and space-planning expert, will lead the discussion from 4 to 5 p.m. today, Nov. 2, in Wilson Library Room 164F, accessible off High Street. During the talk, Bennett plans to share the changing nature of library space utilization and seek feedback from the WWU community.

After his visit, Bennett will produce a report that addresses the issues that emerge during his interviews. He also will make recommendations about the spatial location of various program elements with a view toward the gradual implementation of a coherent vision of the library.
